Editing Approach
Bringing alternate history to life required extensive visual manipulation alongside the edit. Historical photographs and archival imagery were carefully researched, sourced and transformed in Photoshop to support each speculative narrative while remaining grounded in historical context. The programme's green screen format also required compositing, custom backgrounds and recurring graphic elements, while bespoke transitions and visual treatments were developed to establish a distinctive identity for the series. Throughout the edit, balancing historical authenticity with imaginative storytelling was key, ensuring each episode felt both credible and engaging while encouraging audiences to explore familiar history from a fresh perspective.
