Overview
Harbourlife is a television series exploring the many lives, industries and stories that shape Malta's Grand Harbour. Each episode offers a different perspective, introducing the people, vessels and professions that keep one of the country's busiest maritime environments operating. From highly skilled workers to the challenges and dangers of life at sea, the programme combines interviews, observational footage and documentary storytelling to reveal the harbour as a place of history, expertise and constant activity. Designed for a broad television audience, the series presents complex subjects through an engaging and accessible narrative.

Creative Approach
Each episode was built from a large volume of interviews and observational footage, with minimal scripting, making the edit central to discovering and shaping the narrative. Rather than simply assembling sequences, the editorial process focused on identifying the strongest storylines, creating a clear structure and maintaining momentum throughout the programme. Music played a vital role in shaping the emotional rhythm of each episode, with carefully timed cuts used to build tension, emphasise key moments and create dynamic peaks before allowing quieter scenes to breathe. In addition to editing the series, I designed the opening title sequence, end credits and lower thirds used consistently across all thirteen episodes, establishing a cohesive visual identity for the programme. Colour grading further enhanced the atmosphere, ensuring every episode felt visually cohesive while reflecting the mood of its subject.
